Every citizen of India who has PAN (Permanent Account Number) has to link up with aadhar number irrespective of income tax filings.
As the last date is yet to be notified by the government, you can now link up your PAN with aadhar by yourself in online.

Step By Step Process To Link Aadhar With Pan
Step 1:
Go to the official Income tax department website to link your PAN card with aadhaar number.
Step 2:
Now you need to enter your PAN (Permanent account number), Aadhar number, your name as on the aadhar card. Write it down as mentioned in your aadhar card.
Step 3:
If you have the only year of birth on your aadhar card then tick the option provided or else jump to the next step.
Step 4:
Enter the captcha code from the image as provided on your screen or you can even request a one-time password (OTP) to your mobile number.
Step 5:
After entering your details, click Link Aadhar option on the screen.
A popup message will appear which informs you that your PAN card has been successfully linked to aadhaar card.
Both the registered and non-registered users can follow this method to link your PAN card with aadhaar number.
Here the government has made a linkage to eliminate the fake identities as well as to maintain a record of the tax filings of each and every citizen of India.
There are other alternative methods to link your PAN card with aadhar card. Now you can link up by SMS method as well as filling the application form at PAN service providers centers. (NSDL or UTIITSL).
Link Through SMS Option
If you aren’t able to link your PAN card details with aadhaar card via online, then you can simply send an SMS to the PAN provider to link up your details.
Follow the simple format below to send an SMS from your mobile.
Type UIDPAN<Aadhaar 12 digits><PAN 10 digits> on your mobile and send an SMS to 567678 or 56161.
For Example, If your Aadhaar number is 1111 4444 7777 and your PAN is QQ77AAPPWE then send an SMS to 567678 or 56161 as UIDPAN 111144447777 QQ77AAPPWE from your mobile.
By Filling annexure form
There is also a manual method to link your PAN details with aadhaar number.
All you have to do is to visit a PAN card service provider at your place then you need to fill up the annexure form and attach the following documents such as PAN card and aadhaar card.
Once you filled the annexure form, you can submit at NSDL or UTIITSL service provider to link your PAN card with Aadhaar number.
